Your Yoga journey is not about your Yoga teacher. It’s your Yoga journey. The right teacher provides a safe space for you to connect deeply but it is you who does the connecting. It is within you that the Guru rises up. Don’t let anyone take that away from you. You are intelligent, wise and infinite. Connect with that knowing.
In this class you will meet yourself where you’re really at. Burn off toxicity whilst cultivating razor sharp focus and a powerful connection to your core center. This class will get you feeling alive as you physically, mentally and emotionally gain strength and understanding of how the mechanics of your mind and body work. As you start to experience subtle energies, you will unlock the power to heal yourself and remain centered and grounded no matter what goes on outside of yourself. A mixture of flow, longer holds & alignment focus will get you feeling strong, flexible and well balanced.
This practice is the Yin to your Yang. It will lower your heart rate, strengthen your immune system and calm your nervous system. These days, most of our waking hours are spent in our Sympathetic Nervous System (fight or flight) where the body struggles to heal. It’s vital for us to learn how to drop into our Parasympathetic Nervous System (relaxation response) to feel happy, healthy and whole on all levels. With a little commitment, you will learn how to get out of the way of yourself, allowing deep healing and nourishing to take place. It can be challenging to shut off your mind however this is where the real work is. Mostly a floor based practice; we work directly with the fascia, ligaments, tendons and connective tissues, holding postures for 3-5minutes with the use of props for support.
A blend of Yoga & suspension training, this strong and punchy practice is all about core connection, extended holds and smooth transitions. Suspension training uses body weight to develop strength, balance & flexibility. Integrate mindfulness, Bandha control and breath work and you have a powerful practice which will get you super strong, physically and mentally. Savasana (relaxation) at the end is well deserved and allows the practice to integrate on a cellular level.
These classes are foundational classes for all levels of practice. We keep to specific monthly themes so you are able to observe how quickly the body adjusts with just that little bit of commitment and consistency. A couple of things we usually focus on in these classes are alignment, breaking down some of the trickier postures and also Bandha control and connection.
